Whether you’re concerned about Mold testing, Radon testing, or the indoor air quality (IAQ) of your home or the building where you work. One thing is certain, poor indoor air quality (IAQ) can have many negative effects on our health and has been tied to symptoms like headaches, fatigue, trouble concentrating, and irritation of the eyes, nose, throat and lungs. Also, some specific diseases have been linked to specific air contaminants or indoor environments, like asthma with damp indoor environments. In addition, some exposures, such as radon, do not cause immediate symptoms but can lead to cancer after many years.

Mold Inspection and Testing

Mold is everywhere. It is part of the natural environment. When present at elevated levels in the indoor environment it can potentially cause negative health effects.  For some people, mold can cause a stuffy nose, sore throat, coughing or wheezing, burning eyes, or skin rash. People with asthma or who are allergic to mold may have severe reactions. Immune-compromised people and people with chronic lung disease may get infections in their lungs from mold. And, for some, it may do nothing at all.  Mold is also one of the most common allergies and allergy triggers.

There is always some mold around. It can easily move thru open doors and windows, ventilation systems, and can even be brought in on your cloths or pets!  It may grow where there is moisture and a food source, such as paper, cardboard, wood, ceiling tiles, wallpaper, insulation, carpet, and many more. Our testing and in-depth mold inspections will help find the issues and determine if mold may be affecting your air quality. Don't let black mold scare you. We utilize state of the are equipment such as infrared thermal imaging cameras and highly accurate moisture meters to help determine the extent of your situation. We are not affiliated with any contractors or insurance companies and are a completely independent 3rd party inspector.  Our results are available in 1-2 business days covering both residential and commercial projects.

Individuals or businesses who suspect mold growth in their building or home should call to schedule a professional mold inspection as soon as possible. The inspector can assess the extent of the mold growth, identify the type of mold present, and recommend appropriate remediation measures to prevent further damage and protect the health of the occupants. Mold growth can spread quickly and cause structural damage, as well as pose health risks, so it is important to take action promptly. By contacting a professional mold inspector, individuals can gain peace of mind and take steps to ensure the safety and well-being of themselves and others in the building.

Radon Testing

Did you know that Radon, a naturally occuring

cancer causing, radioactive gas, can be found

all over the U.S.? Did you know that just because

there is no issue at your neighbors house doesn't

mean there isn't one at yours? Or that it is the

second leading cause of lung cancer in the U.S.

Testing is the only way to know if you and your

family are at risk and we han can help! Using  a

CRM, or, continuous radon monitor, your radon

test will be performed with results available on

the day the test ends.

VOC Testing

You inhale the pollutants and irritants in the air. They may include volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and airborne particulates whether you’re at home or at the office. Many VOCs and some particulates like mold spores may potentially pose health hazards.

Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are emitted as gases from certain solids or liquids. VOCs include a variety of chemicals, some of which may have short- and long-term adverse health effects. Concentrations of many VOCs are consistently higher indoors (up to ten times higher) than outdoors.  VOCs are emitted by a wide array of products numbering in the thousands. Examples include: paints and lacquers, paint strippers, cleaning supplies, pesticides, building materials and furnishings, office equipment such as copiers and printers, correction fluids and carbonless copy paper, glues and adhesives, permanent markers, photographic solutions. common cleaning products for home and office, vehicle exhaust, anything artificially scented or perfumed and new building products.

When it’s apparent in buildings that air quality is suffering through higher absentee rates or other complaints, indoor air quality testing for commercial buildings may help reveal if the source is VOC-laden air.

Fortunately, M.A.R.C. can help identify the molds, radon, and/or VOCs in your environment through indoor air quality testing. Nothing is more important to your health than the quality of the air you breathe. Put your mind at ease by testing it in the places where you spend the most time: at home and/or work.
